Boys and Girls State

Girls State Information
If you are interested in attending Girls State, please email Mrs. Russell ASAP. We can only nominate one girl to attend. The cost is $225 and it is May 31st- June 5 at The University of Alabama.
Who can be selected to attend Girls State?
While the process varies by ALA Unit and school, all Girls State Delegates must:
- Be a current high school junior who will be a senior in the upcoming fall
- Be able to participate in ALL activities for the entire Session from May 31st-June 5th.
- Have an interest in government and current events, high moral character, strong leadership ability, and above average scholastic standing
If you are interested in attending Boys State, please email Mrs. Russell ASAP. We can only nominate one boy to attend. The dates for Alabama Boys State are May 24th – 30st, 2026 and it is at the University of Alabama. The cost is $225.
Who can be selected for Boys State?
- A current high school junior who will be a senior in the upcoming fall
- Be able to participate in ALL activities for the entire Session from May 24th-May 30th.
- A student that has interest in government and current events, high moral character, strong leadership ability, and above average scholastic standing
